Il 'Coprifuoco' si ispira liberamente (se ne odono anche brevi citazioni) all'antico canto 'Il Coprifuoco di Assisi', che fin dal medioevo veniva intonato da quella comunità perchè il riposo e il sonno fossero il più possibile quieti e sereni, al riparo dalle insidie notturne. Ma 'IL COPRIFUOCO' non vuole solo essere rievocazione e struggente richiamo a quell'affascinante 'rito' serale: vuole anche riproporre - nell'esasperato frastuono del nostro tempo - un ritorno ai timbri puri e cristallini di un grande e glorioso strumento, La Tromba, i cui favolosi suoni solo il silenzio circostante può massimamente esaltare. ......perchè un giorno una tromba sola eleverà il suo canto dalla cupola trasparente dell'astronave, il cui quasi impercettibile ronzio non disturberà la sua infinita poesia.......
