Written for snare drummers, the title of this new Houllif solo is a takeoff on Kendor's location at 21 Grove Street in Delevan. As for the piece itself, this original march features most of the standard rudiments in a snappy, syncopated rhythmic shuffle. It starts in 4/4 time, ends in 6/8, and uses the number 21 as a motive throughout. Great for contest, recital, or jury! |
